My NEW Tom Ford Sunglasses!

I have been needing/wanting a new pair of sunglasses all summer...but have been putting it off. Today, I decided that since I have been good with shopping all summer...read that as...I can't shop because I just keep getting larger...I deserved a little prezzy! Well I took a stroll to Bloomies, treated myself to some 40 Carrots froyo and got myself a pair of Tom Ford sunnies! I went with the "Whitney" style and I just love them. Can't wait to wear them on Nantucket this weekend. Sometimes you just have to treat yourself ladies!

The Bump :: 20 Weeks!

20 Weeks! Half way there...

Total Weight Gained/Loss? I have probably gained about 15 or so pounds....

Maternity Clothes: Kind of. Still have just been wearing regular flowy summer dresses...but I know as soon as I start shopping for the fall, it will pretty much be all maternity clothes!

Sleep? Sleep has been good! It's getting a little bit more uncomfortable to sleep on my belly and I am not loving sleeping on my side...have to embrace the body pillow!

Best Moment of the Week? Cutting a huge ladies room line because a sweet woman in the front said "pregnant girls first!" It was really cute!

Movement? Just a few flutters...I am so excited to feel a real kick! Hope it happens soon!

Food Craving? Still loving GREEN OLIVES and totally random...white rice with lots of soy sauce...I guess I am loving salty things.

Food aversions: Um nothing...

Morning sickness? GONE! Thank goodness! However, if I over overeat, my stomach feels really full and uncomfortable.

Gender? IT'S A GIRL!!!

Belly Button? Still in.

What I miss? Summer Cocktails! Hosted my besties bachelorette this weekend and missed my fav drinks!

What I'm looking forward to: Really feeling the baby move!

Weekly Wisdom: SLOW DOWN! I have been trying to do everything at the same pace I was going at pre-pregnancy...just lead to running me down.

Milestones: 20 weeks down, half way there and finding out the sex of the baby!

Nursery Inspiration...

We wanted to create a sweet and serene nursery for our baby girl. 

We are going with a soft palette of greens, pinks and creams.

The walls are painted in Hancock Green and are striped with White Dove.

The bedding is from Serena and Lily.

We bought the Sleigh Crib from Pottery Barn Kids in Simply White.

We also bought the Kendall Extra-Wide Dresser with the changing table topper in Simply White.

I love this art for the room. It will tie all the colors together nicely.

The Gender Reveal Party!

 We held a gender reveal party for my family and some close friends up at our cabin in Maine last weekend. It wasn't a true gender reveal party because MMB and I had found out the sex at our appointment, we wanted to have some private time to celebrate our baby! The party was so fun and my family was dying to know BOY OR GIRL! It's the first grandchild for my parents. Our party was a bit rustic as it was on the lake in Maine but it was still special and so fun!

How we told everyone it's a GIRL!

We bought pink and blue balloons and put a note in one of the pink balloons that said, "it's a GIRL!"

 

 We also had pins that said "it's a boy" and "it's a girl"

Everyone took either a pink or blue balloon and a pin representing what they thought the baby was....

 Both my sisters thought it was a boy!

 My mom guessed GIRL and she was over the moon that she was right!
