Wedding Wednesday: The Honeymoon!

We're booked and going to ITALY!
We are so thrilled to spend two weeks in Italy for our honeymoon!

We will arrive in Venice and are excited to explore the city and ride gondolas!

Then it is onto Lake Como, for a few days of relaxation and horseback riding!

All aboard! We will be taking the train from Lake Como to Florence...
where we plan to eat and drink our way through the city.

After Florence, we will be staying in Positano and enjoying the coast. We are actually planning on driving
and exploring the Amalfi coast...it should be interesting!

Finally, we end our fabulous honeymoon outside of Rome at the amazing La Posta Vecchia!

  5. I spent part of a summer a few years ago in Positano and it is SO BEAUTIFUL! You will love love LOVE it! I will warn you the drive to Positano is so so twisty and turny that alot of people get super car sick. Our driver had to pull over multiple times for our family lol. We later found out there is a boat to Positano that alot of people take. When I go back (and I definitely will someday) I'll take the boat :) Have a blast, you will love it! PS: We stayed at Covo Dei Saraceni, a five star hotel right on the water. If you don't have a hotel yet, I HIGHLY recommend it!

  7. fab, fab, FAB!!! that is where hubs and i planned our honeymoon, too.....BUT our wedding date was 9/15/2001 -- just days after Sept. 11th, and everything was shut down.... a minor blip in the grand scheme of things, really. This year is our 10th anniversary and we are looking into FINALLY taking our honeymoon there too! :-)

  9. You will absolutely LOVE Florence! It is gorgeous and is so much fun! There are great restaurants and make sure you touch the nose of the lucky boar (or pig -- I can't remember). Throw coins into the Trevi Fountain in Rome and get some gelato. Have fun!
