Engagement Party Prep!
Well I had a whirlwind weekend! I went home to NY to celebrate my younger sisters 25th birthday! We had such a blast, we went on a wine tasting tour through the North Fork vineyards on Long Island. I will post more on that soon.
I was also home to help my Mom get ready for our engagement party that my parents are hosting for us this Saturday. I am so excited - it should be a tres fab time! Our first stop was to the florist. We are going with a Fall theme for the engagement party, so I thought it would be fun for the table centerpieces to be in pumpkins. I found the below image and gave it to our florist for inspiration - I think they will be so festive and pretty.

Autumn Inspired Centerpieces
I am a fan of seating plans. Nothing worse than hosting a party and having your guests wondering where they should sit. After my Mom and I finished the seating plans, we wanted to find the perfect place cards. We were so excited when we found these darling Caspari cards! How perfect for our Autumn theme?

Autumn Inspired Place Cards!
I do LOVE my Country Club but even I have to admit that sometimes cream colored table cloths and napkins can look a little dull. I know the pumpkin centerpieces will jazz up the tables but I wanted something just a little bit more...I was so excited when I found Martha Stewart craft punchers at Michael's. I chose the anchor and seahorse punchers (since we are having a nautical inspired wedding) but picked up some beautiful fall colored paper, think reds and oranges to punch the shapes out in. I thought even though the shapes are nautical, they can match the fall color theme of the engagement party. My Mom and I spent much of Sunday punching out tons of anchors and sea-horses, we are going to spread a little of each shape on the tables, I think it will subtly add a little something extra.

I HEART Long Weekends!
MMB and I had a very busy weekend. Saturday we had Pre-Cana, Saturday night we went out with friends, and Sunday we headed to Nantucket to enjoy the rest of the long weekend.

Pre-Cana...Just kidding we enjoyed our session...
Saturday night, MMB and I headed out with some friends in Charlestown. I actually had never been to Charlestown since moving to Boston until this weekend, we had a great time!

The Girls!
We finished off the long weekend with a quick trip down to Nantucket. It is so beautiful on the island in the fall. It was perfectly relaxing and we were lucky enough to have a wonderful dinner at the Ships Inn for the last seating of the season!

ACK in the Fall...

Smathers & Branson: Credit Card Wallets!
I am LOVING Smathers & Branson's newest needlepoint accessory: Credit Card Wallets!
Small enough to fit in your front pocket, but large enough to hold your cards and cash, this slimmer wallet features their signature needlepoint on one side with Italian leather on the other!

So cute!
and remember Smathers & Branson are THE needlepoint company!

Wedding Wednesday: SHOES!
Wedding Shoes have been one of my favorite things to shop for! I think I have found my winner, these beautiful Satin d'Orsay's from Manolo Blahnik!
I still want to check out Kate Spade's wedding collection because they are super cute,
but I think I will be wearing these classics when I say "I do!".
What did you wear on your wedding day?!

Festive Treats!
Yum!
One thing I love about halloween is all the delicious treats!
Here are a few of my favorite!

See’s Candies Chocolate Marshmallow Jack-O’-Lanterns
Great for a special trick-or-treater or—better yet—yourself:
These giant milk-chocolate-covered marshmallow patties…are frighteningly tasty.

Williams-Sonoma Mini Iced Cookies
In a trio of fun shapes—a ghost, a pumpkin, and a witch’s black hat—
these petite, adorably hand-decorated ginger-spice cookies have an irresistibly soft texture.
