Kick Off Your Heels!

For my wedding, I knew I wanted to have a flip flop basket for the wedding guests. What is better than kicking off your heels and dancing the night away?! Well I made a major score yesterday... Old Navy is having a huge sale on their flip flops, wahoo! I placed a bulk order with them on the phone and they were uber helpful. I coordinated the flip flops with my wedding colors: navy, yellow and white. Size 7's are navy, size 8's are white and size 9's are yellow! I am so very excited about this purchase!

MIA...

I have been MIA! I'm traveling like a crazy woman right now. I went from the Hamptons, to NYC, I am now in Philly and I get back to Boston on Wednesday but only for 24 hours before heading to Nantucket for Labor Day Weekend! AHHH! I am ready to just be still for a little while and am very much looking forward to a fairly quiet September in Boston. Do you ever just wish you could hit the pause button?!

I have to say I think Lunch Skins are the coolest thing ever. While I was teaching last Spring, I noticed a lot of the kids in my class using them. I HEART Animal Prints...

I LOVE animal prints for fall, more specifically I heart leopard and cheetah prints...in a classy way, not a Teresa from Real Housewives of New Jersey way. I am so excited to see these prints all over the Fall glossies! Designers have been splashing the pattern on everything from chic coats to fun accessories! Animal prints are spot on for fall.

Well I am home in NY yet again and I have been stuffing, stamping and addressing our engagement invitations. I'm very excited for the party, it should be so fun!

Fall Lust List!

Fall is my favorite season and I have already started making my "lust" list.

I can't wait to make a few purchases!

I love Hunter boots and own a pair of the original wellies.

However, I am obsessed with the new wedge heel boots, I must have a pair!

Barbour has the most amazing jackets, I am a huge fan of their barn jackets in particular.

This year I am loving the cape, you can wear it right from the country to the city!

As soon as I saw pictures of Claire Danes wearing this amazing red Valentino dress, I just knew I needed something similar. It would be perfect for a fall wedding I have coming up. You can imagine how excited I was when I was flipping through my September issue of People Style Watch and found out that I could buy a very similar dress. The magazine stated that eDressMe was making a similar dress for the fabulous price of $148. Now, I have never ordered anything from this site but it would be worth it to see the quality of the dress. HOWEVER, I can't find the dress anywhere on the site! Very annoying but I will have to keep my eye out.

Great Point!

Today we spent the day on Great Point! It was so fun and is one of my favorite parts of the island. To get to Great Point, you need to have an oversand permit and it is a bit of a slow drive out to the point over the sand. Obviously, it is so worth it and beautiful. If you travel to the island, you simply must head out to the point!

Maine in Pictures!

I am back from my week in Maine and it was wonderful as usual! I feel so lucky to have an amazing family and good friends that I can spend time with and actually truly enjoy every moment. Maine has been a special place for my family for the past 23 years. We have gone every summer and it truly is a family vacation, there is no television, Internet or phone, if you are out in the middle of the lake, you might be able to get some cell service! As my siblings and I have all gotten older and our lives have gotten busier and busier, we so look forward to this week of catching up and just spending time together! Hard to believe that next year I will be a married lady in Maine!
