Greetings from Nantucket! Now that I have officially asked all of my besties to be my bridesmaids, I can finally share the adorable cards Ashley Brooke Designs created for me! She also created the same card for the Maid of Honors (my two sisters!). I am in love with them and all of the girls simply LOVED their cards. How cute are they?

Off to Nantucket & Fab Finds!

Tomorrow, we are off to Nantucket for the week and to celebrate July 4th! It is always a great time and the weather should be perfect, so I am very excited! Today I am packing like crazy and getting a mani/pedi, but it's worth it because tomorrow I am off to the island! I stopped into T.J Maxx yesterday and picked up a few things for the week. I grabbed a fab yellow eyelet dress from Laundry, a cute dress from BCBG and a bikini from Trina Turk! The best part is, I only spent $100! I am still very excited about my finds! What do you all have planned for the 4th of July?!

Dinner Tonight...

Dinner Tonight: Spaghetti With Zucchini, Walnuts, and Raisins

Ingredients

• 12 ounces spaghetti (3⁄4 box)
• 3 tablespoons olive oil
• 1/2 cup walnut halves, roughly chopped
• 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
• 1 1/2 pounds small zucchini (4 to 5), cut into thin half-moons
• 3/4 cup raisins
• kosher salt and black pepper
• 1/4 cup grated Parmesan (1 ounce)

Directions

1. Cook the pasta according to the package directions; drain and return it to the pot.
2. Meanwhile, heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the walnuts and cook, stirring frequently, until beginning to brown, 3 to 4 minutes. Add the garlic and cook, stirring frequently, until beginning to brown, about 1 minute.
3. Add the zucchini and raisins to the skillet, season with ½ teaspoon salt and ¼ teaspoon pepper, and cook, tossing occasionally, until the zucchini is just tender, 4 to 5 minutes.
4. Add the zucchini mixture to the pasta and toss to combine. Sprinkle with the Parmesan before serving.

Wedding Wednesday!

Wedding planning is in full force! We officially have our date set for next June, I couldn't be more excited! We met with the Church on Monday and everything is confirmed -- yay one thing is DONE! We also met with NY Tents on Monday out at my summer house, I didn't realize how much work it is going to be to have the wedding at my summer house but needless to say I am starting to see the big picture. This week I have moved onto interviewing caterers... there is so much to do!

I am also beginning to look at the fun stuff... like inspiration for the feel of our wedding! I just ripped this page out of a bridal magazine and thought it was darling. I loved the Madeline books growing up and the fiance is French (well half French!) and this spread used a "B" and our last name will begin with a B! I am not sure this is the look we will ultimately go with but I just had to share it! AND I must try on this fabulous Vera Wang dress, I just LOVE it!

Jamaica Pics!

Jamaica was amazing, this was my fourth time to the island, however, I have always gone for Easter which is usually in April. Going in June is completely different, so so so HOT! I used lots of SPF and wore my fav floppy hat and survived, barely! My cousins wedding was so beautiful and he looked so happy, we are all thrilled for him and his bride! Well I have only been engaged for about 10 days now but the planning has begun! I keep telling myself to relax but I feel like once the ball gets rolling, it's hard to stop! AHHH! We have a tentative date for the wedding, which is June 2011. MMB and I have a date next week at the Church, after the meeting we should have our date reserved and I should be a little bit more relaxed (yeah right!). We have decided to hold the reception at my summer house which is very exciting, however, it means a lot more planning. After the church, securing a tent will be my next move. I am also starting to work on THE GUEST LIST! Recent brides, would LOVE to hear how you went about creating and editing your wedding guest list.

Just an NY Girl, Living in a New England World!

So I have lived in Boston for about 1 year exactly now. Of course, I am still a New York girl at heart, which is why I have refused to attend a Red Sox game even though I literally live across the street from Fenway Park. I finally gave in a couple of nights ago because MMB (the boyf) and I had friends visiting. If I was going to be at the game, I figured I needed to look the part, which is when I bought THE HAT! O boy, my family is not letting me live it down. We are Yankee fans and going to the game was one thing but they all told me that buying and WEARING THE HAT was just wrong! Like I said, I am just an NY Girl living in a New England world!

When my dad saw this picture he said I was out of the will, haha!
