With all my Grad School reading, I have been on a real "chick lit" kick these days! I am loving Mary Kay Andrew's books and am currently reading my third one, Savannah Blues.
All of her novels take place in the South and they are juicy!
I even get a laugh at some of the "Yankee" jokes!
Have any of you read her books?

oh i'll be sure to check those out! they look fab!
ReplyDeletei always read a chapter or 12 of something fun before i go to bed. need something to take my mind off all the nasty law school stuffs i do all day. i just finished "looking for salvation at the dairy queen" and looooved it.
I have been wanting to read hissy fit but can never find it anywhere!
ReplyDeleteThese look fun! I have never heard of her!
ReplyDeleteI haven't...but I will def add them to my summer reading list! :)
ReplyDeleteHissy Fit is one of my fav chick lit books! I haven't read anything else by her, I'm going to have to go pick one up soon!
ReplyDeleteWoah you read my mind! I was on Amazon yesterday looking for some good reads with a Southern genre/flair. Thanks for posting these recommendations and saving me some serous legwork :)
ReplyDeleteI totally understand, while I was in school all i could read were those same types of books. I guess that since I've been done for almost a year now I should probably start throwing in a substantial book or two. I've read Itty Bitty Lies, but I don't recall if I've read the other two yet.
ReplyDeleteThese are my favorite books! Deep Dish is great as well!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read anything from her. Thanks for the tip I am going to have to check some of these out!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read her but I'll give it a spin! I'm a total sucker for chick lit -- though after one too many I get very firm with myself and read a Booker Prize or Pulitzer winner! :)
ReplyDeleteHave you read The Help? It's great! All of my lit friends call it "just a beach read" but it was so much more than that to me!
ReplyDeleteLove her books. Just finished 'The Fixer Upper', it was great!
ReplyDeleteI actually "read" Savannah Breeze on audiobook last summer (i have a long commute) and cracked up over all of the references. :) They are fun!
ReplyDeleteI should put some more of those on my "to read" list. :)
