First Weekend in Boston!

So my first weekend in Boston was a tres fab time! Friday night I went out with my bff BAG and co. it was tons of fun.

Spa Day!

Hey Everyone!

Sorry I have been so MIA lately, the move has been a big adjustment and I am still getting settled. I start school on Monday - so I have been doing last minute errands.  The boyf and I decided to kick off the weekend right and got a couples massage at the G2O Spa on Newbury Street. It was amazing, for those of you who live in the Boston area you need to try out this spa- love it! Since there is no Bliss Spa up here in Beantown, my monthly maintenance (facial, waxing, etc) will now be done at the G2O Spa.

I am heading out to the summer house for our big memorial weekend bash that my parents throw every year. We will also be celebrating EKG's graduation from Villanova, and the fact that my little bro will be attending Villanova next fall! My sibs and I have all gone to 'Nova!

MEL's 2nd Guest Post: The Seasonless Scarf!

I spent last week in Sunny San Francisco!! Despite my love-at-first-sight reaction, I also learned a very valuable lesson about the Bay Area… one must LAYER! It is very possible that the temperature will fluctuate between 75 and sunny to 65 and breezy in a matter of blocks. Fortunately, as a life-long resident of the northeast, I came prepared! One item I never travel without is a tres-chic scarf! Once thought of as a must-have for the winter months, the scarf has morphed into a year-round necessity! Two of my favorite brands are Love Quotes and Sir Allistaire Rai. The first is a great addition to any outfit, print or otherwise. The later adds an extra dimension to a more solid clothing pallet. Both are light weight and come in a bouquet of beautiful colors! Feel free to leave the jackets and cardigans at home, all you need this season the always-in-style scarf!

Weekend Update!

I had a very busy weekend! I headed down to Villanova University for my youngest sister EKG's graduation, I cannot believe she is finished, and I totally can't believe that I graduated from 'Nova 3 years ago! The whole family was there and it was a wonderful time! Pics coming soon. I actually picked up a dress while I was there for the weekend from J. McLaughlin, it is tres fab, I am totally in love with it. I know I will use it a ton on Nantucket this summer, it screams beach chic.

Boston!

Well I am finally starting to settle into my new home and new city! It has all been such a whirlwind with moving in and trying to see friends. But everything is falling into place. I actually just got back from lunch at Cafeteria on Newbury Street with BFF CVS! It was so fun and we had a great time!  

I have also been doing some apartment shopping on craigslist and have found some great steals! I picked up this amazing set of 4 rush seated chairs for $120! They are made in Italy and have never been used - the family was moving so they needed to sell them fast - lucky for the boyf and I - they look amazing with our dining room table!

We also found the cutest little desk for me (I can't live without a desk)! I love it, and it fit into the perfect little space in the apartment! It was amazing steal for $45! Yay craigslist!

Moral of this story is try out craigslist! I had never used the site before this move and I found some great deals!

Last Day of Work at A.Tierney!

So today is my official last day of work at A. Tierney. I have had an amazing experience and I consider myself very lucky...it will be one of the many things I miss about New York City. Alyssa (owner of A. Tierney) gave me a beautiful going away present. It's the Baby Elephant from Herend! I know it will bring me lots of good luck! It is something I will have forever and it meant a lot to me. This weekend begins the big move to Boston, I will keep you all posted!

Who is MEL?!
I am a 20-something NYC to Boston transplant. After graduating from Bentley University, I made the move to the Big Apple, doing Advertising Sales for CNN. After two years in NYC, I relocated back up to my beloved Beantown and have been working at my alma mater.

All-things-fashion has always been a passion of mine! Everything from the hippest mani/pedi color, to tres chic dresses and, of course, stunning shoes (I never wear anything but heels!). I am a fashion fiend, red bull addict, summertime lover… simply put, perfectly imperfect!

Nude Shoes Update!

Hope you all had a tres fab weekend! Mine was full of packing and getting ready for the big move to Boston. I can't believe this is my last week of work!
