Hey Everyone!
Hope you all had a tres fab weekend, I am still down here in ATL. I just finished a GREAT book. I think I have mentioned that one of my fav authors is Jodi Picoult, well her newest book Handle with Care was amazing! This book def tugs at the heart strings. One of the main reasons I love Jodi Picoult's books is because they make you think, her novels always raise several issues and makes you look at topics from several different points of view. Handle With Care also raises several issues and asks questions like, what constitutes a valuable life? I couldn't put this book down, it's an unforgettable and profoundly moving story.

PS - GO NOVA! Such an amazing game last night!!

LOVED her after reading my sister's keeper. Maybe I should read this one! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThis book is next on my list! I even got my copy signed by Jodi, she was in Minneapolis for a book signing! I almost want to buy a different copy to read, so I don't bang up the signed copy! LOL!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the review! :)
How funny. I just posted today about how much I didn't like this one!! I felt like she copped out and just changed some minimal details from My Sister's Keeper and called it a day. They were way too similar for my tastes, and, while I was sobbing at the end of MSK, I found this ending to be sorely lackluster for Jodi. I have always loved her books and her characters, so I'll eagerly anticipate her next one, but I won't ever re-read this or recommend it. I love that we have such varying opinions on it!! What's your next read?
ReplyDeleteHer books are impossible to put down! You are so right about her ability to present both sides of an argument/controversy to make you really think with an open mind.
ReplyDeleteI love her books! they always make me cry! If you havn't read "Salem Falls" that one is awesome. Very thought provoking! I'll have to check this one out.
ReplyDeleteI love Jodi P. Thanks for recommending her new book. Will have to give it a read. Just finished the Friday Night Knitting club for my book club. Easy summer read.
